ESTATE HOMEOWNER was born in Prague Czechoslovakia Nov 3, 1924. She lived to be 99 years old. Along with her parents and brother she survived the invasion of Nazi Germany in Czechoslovakia by moving to America in 1939. She was a trailblazer for women in Anthropology. She helped, alongside her husband discover a lost city in Peru in 1955. As a professor at Berkeley in the late 50's and 60's she taught anthropology and analyzed the pottery styles of the Ica culture of Ancient Peru. She was a well-known author in her field and wrote many books about Peru and findings discovered. After moving back to New York in the early 70's to take care of her elderly parents she continued to work on her findings and was a world-renowned expert in the area of ancient Peruvian culture and was highly sought after for her expertise.
